Abstract

Chloroform and Petroleum ether extracts of leaves of Alternanthera sessilis were screened forantinflammatory activity by carrageenan induced rat paw edema method. Both the extracts showed considerable dose dependent activity. However chloroform extract 200mg/kg showed higher activity than other extracts.
