Abstract

miR-99a: IMPLICATIONS FOR PROGNOSIS IN ORAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

RNAexpression, especially mir99a, holds promise for prognosis in squamous cellcarcinoma (SCC) n multiple basis. In various typesof squamous cell carcinoma, such as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC)and external auditory canal squamous cell carcinoma (EACSCC), different miRNAs,including miR-99a, play an important role in diagnosis, prognosis pain, and treatmenttargets Figure . Research showsthat miRNAs play an important role in regulating gene expression andinfluencing biological processes such as cancer initiation and progression. Incervical squamous cell carcinoma, the transcriptomic signature involving mir99ahas been identified as one of the most promising clinical prognostic factors. In addition,miRNA analysis in primary cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma may help identifypatients at risk of poor prognosis and highlight the importance of earlydiagnosis and self-healing strategies. Additionally, miR-99a is involved in theregulation of SCC gene expression and influences clinical susceptibilitypatterns, indicating its importance as a therapeutic target. Overall, miR-99ashould serve as a prognostic indicator and a potential target to improve theprognosis of patients with squamous cell carcinoma. In addition, miR-99aexpression level was higher in early-stage SCC and lower in advanced-stage SCC,suggesting that it may be a prognostic marker; This suggests that the decreaseis associated with advanced disease stage, poor differentiation, and poorsurvival. Furthermore, MAGE-A11 expression in head and neck squamous cellcarcinoma (HNSCC) correlates with clinical features, with higher expressionindicating lower survival, demonstrating its ability as a marker and immobilisingtarget......
