Abstract
Plan: In the present study, 49 medicinal plant species belonging to 34 families were collected ,recorded and studied .
Methodology: The survey aimed to identifying the plant used for the ground health of indigenous people of the study area in Koothanoallur and Marakkadai.
Outcome: The medicinal plants are used to treat ailments like, cough, cold, fever, headache, stomach-ache, diarrhoea, dysentery, skin diseases, poison bites, wounds, diabetes, piles and rheumatism.
